APPLICATION PROCESURES

REQUIREMENT

• Successfully completed DTS ( Discipleship Training School )

• Minimum 2 years of full time commitment.

  (This involves full commitment and expectation as a staff member. The role will be negotiated prior to acceptance according to YWAM base needs and applicant's interest in where to serve.)

• Fluent in English or Japanese

To begin the application process use the Online Application Form and submit.

• Require proof of DTS completion

• Personal references

  • We ask for two personal references(church Pastor, YWAM base leader (if staff) or DTS leader

  • We will send a reference form to the e-mail provided in your application.

  • If you served as YWAM staff before, a base leader’s reference is required.

We will review the application and check references. We will pray over the applicant to find God’s guidance and inform the result to the applicant. We will then let you know whether we would go forward with the process.

Submit a Medical and Background Check Survey.
(Only the leaders will have the access to this information)

Upon completion of the submission, a video call will be scheduled to answer any questions and to pray with you. YWAM Yokohama will send you an acceptance letter, following with visa instructions.

Submit the proof of financial independence
(This is required for a long term visa application)
Minimum Support Level (MSL) and Recommended Support Level (RSL).

VISA PROCESS

• Visa department will send you application form with further steps.

  • The application process will take 3 to 4 months depending on your circumstances.

ARRIVAL

• Upon arrival you need your own health insurance until you are covered by Japanese government health insurance.

• Send us a photo so we can recognize you at the airport.

• Send arrival details.
